* Hava Java Coffee Shop manager, Forrest Card, was assaulted at home and struck in the head with a bass guitar. A concert benifit was held in his honor featuring EAR BEYOND and SAM PHIPPS (former member of OINGO BOINGO). The event was recorded and a compilation will soon be released to further help Forrest pay his doctor bills.
* THE DEVICS have a new CD coming out in a few months, but until then you can hear them play "Powerless" on the new "Hush" compilation.
* MIGHTY THOR are doing fine and are saving up money to put out a seven inch release.
* HILLBILLY SNIPERS minus one are now called THE TRANS-AMS.
* AGENT CHESTER DESMOND is the name of a new lo-fi techno band featuring members of EAR BEYOND, THE PAJAMAS, BOB, and many others. Anyone can join.
* Silverlake's THE RENTALS are touring with BLUR and will soon be touring with GARBAGE. They played an accoustic set at Tower Records and sounded great.
* WEEZER recently tried to get a show with THE PAJAMAS at The Jabberjaw, but THE PAJAMAS dropped out due to a crappy set length. A show with these two bands together will suppossedly happen sometime though.
* Silverlake's POSSUM DIXON have a new album out called "Star Maps." They also have a new drummer.
* Hollywood's SLUTS FOR HIRE also have a new album coming out this month called "The Happiest Band On Earth" out on Flipside Records.
* GRAND PRIX wants to tour!
* Philidelphia's THE DEAD MILKMEN have broken up after 12 years and as many albums. Their last studio album has been released and is called "Stoney's Extra Stout (Pig)". All former members are now in new bands. More on that in the future.

* RUBBERNECK have a song on the new "Punk Bites" CD compilation. They are recieving several bids for a record deal. Catch them live.
