NO-FI "MAGAZINE"
A RE-INTRODUCTION...

As of last month, we've been working on No-Fi "Magazine" for SIX years now! (We took last year off a bit, but there was still stuff going on behind the scenes) Usually with each issue I would have an introduction on the second page with some silly caption and since we're mostly doing this all online now, I'm going to start doing that each month on the site from now on. So at the begining of each magazine's month (The next online issue starts on Sunday, May 5th) you can expect an introduction that'll let you know what is going to be in that particular issue and (if I know at that time) when it'll be online.

So as some of you might have seen, last month was called the "Reconstruction Issue" due to our moving the site to a new server and not having a lot of actual content ready for you while we rebuilt the site (with special help from no-fi pal Brandon Huff). In a way, we are still under constructon, but at least the ball seems to rolling pretty smoothly enough to get the content out to you on a regular basis now and I hope you don't mind the minor changes that you'll see every now and then. (By the way, you can find issue #25 , featuring the interview with Mr. T, already archived RIGHT HERE.)

Anyway, as you've already seen, in this issue we are featuring an interview with the band KaitO from the UK and they will be making an accoustic performance on the new NO-FI "RADIO" which will be streaming that episode on April 22nd. Also NEXT week we will be posting the very tardy interview with DEVO that Ernie and I did in 2000 that was suppossed to premere in THIS issue, but last year when it was going to be the original #25! ...But I digress...

Also this month we have had a new episode of It's Menso! which if some of you O.G. readers remember is a new take on the original episode of It's Menso which made it's first appearance in Issue #2 (I believe). Tomorrow we'll have a new article by Ernie, who now resides in Portland, Oregon, on a creepy Russian Goodwill that he sometimes visits. Also we've started up or show and movie review section, but we're still working on the music review section (which'll be the main review section). You may have noticed that we have new writers too. Lettuce lives in Georgia and has been writing for his own E-Zine called SBD where he has written some stuff that's on the same playing field as No-Fi "Magazine". We also have new writer Mary who works as an actress and runs her own perfume company. And finally we have had some reviews by Mike who has been waiting in the wings for No-Fi to return so he can weave random words in the form of reviews and stories and I look forward to our our new no-fi "staff" members writing and contributions to come.

And before I forget I should mention that, YES, the concert calander is back, but now in a handy online form so you can check back every week to see what's happening in L.A. and if you live elsewhere you can spend the entire night crying and staring at all the fun shows that you're missing out on just because you live somewhere else!

So I think that wraps it up for this "introduction", although I think it should be called a "MIDtroduction" since we are already well into this issue. Please e-mail me and let me know what you think, or if you'd like to write for us, OR if you'd like to get your band in No-Fi "Magazine" or on No-Fi "Radio". We always like to hear from new peeps so let us know you're out there and if you have any great ideas for the magazine.
