I woke up at 4:30 in the morning and left with my friend Ed for Tower Records for a chance to meet Marilyn Manson with my book in my hand (Marilyn's new book called "The Long Hard Road Out Of Hell.") After we got our cheap paper wristbands, we went to see DARK CITY (That movie BLOWS!). When we returned, we waited. Finally we saw a hat bouncing out of a white limo and the line began to move. I was filled with nervous excitement and finally it was my turn to approach "the man!"


M = Marilyn Manson (Wearing a hat)
Q = The Mighty Quin (Wearing a shirt)

(Marilyn looks at me and smiles)
Q: (Handing Marilyn his book to get it signed) Ungh Bough...uh...mmmuh.
M: (Leans forward and wrinkles his forehead) What's that?
Q: Oh, I just wanted to shake your hand.
M: Oh. (He shakes my hand)
Q: It's nice to meet you.
M: It's nice to meet you too.
Q: And I really like your music.
M: (With as much feeling as he can muster up) Thanks.

(Security forces me out of the door into the cold night air of West Hollywood.)
